Expansion & DivisionIn this unit we'll be studying the development of the United States in the late 1700s to the mid 1800s. These early years signify the first experiments of the 'great experiment" that started with the Constitution. These early leaders' decisions would shape and define the nation and the government for generations and even centuries to come. And at the same time that these momentous decisions were being made, the country was also contending with forces that would stretch and strain it until it literally tore the nation apart. We'll be taking a look at these shaping influences to decide who influential or inevitable they were.
